DIY Ticketing Gold - Questions & Answers

Do I need a license to issue Parking Tickets?

What are the signs made of?

The signs are made of a weather proof plastic (correx) £10.00 + Vat each or metal (dibond) £30.00 Vat each, to include fitting to existing posts, walls or fencing (should you need posts installed we can arrange this at competitive rates) your choice and are 45cm wide and 60cm high (click here for samples)

Can the restriction on the signs be customised?

Yes alternative text can be added i.e. “Parking for customers of Tesco whilst using the premises only” at an additional cost of £15 + Vat per sign, see order form.

Will you send out a representative to see us to train our staff?

Yes of course we will, to help evaluate your parking problems and advise on solutions and the number of Warning Signs needed to be fully compliant with current legislation and British Parking Association regulations.  We will provide a representative to give your staff or representative 5 hours on site training totally free (should additional on site training be requested we will of course offer this at a small cost.  Thereafter we will provide full free on going telephone support 24 hours per day 365 days per year.

Who is responsible for erecting the signs?

Our representative will install your choice of signs free of charge, to exisiting posts or fences or walls.  (should you need posts installed we can arrange this to be done at competitive rates)

Do I have pay a set up charge or any monthly or annual charges?

The only set up charges you will have to pay is for the legally required signage which for plastic correx signs is £10.00 + Vat each or for metal dibond signs £30.00 + Vat each this includes installation, as for other charges see below for details: (you will be required to supply your own iphone with a sim card connected to a mobile phone provider, you will need to take a separate contract out with such companys as O2 / Vodafone etc)

1 x App for Android Smart Phone.

1 x Back Office Client Web to manage and view all PCN's with one user name.

Cost pcm £25.00 + Vat

Additional Apps for further Android Smart Phones £20.00 + Vat pcm each for same site location.

So the entire system should not only be self-funding, it should provide you with an additional revenue source.

Is there a minimum Contract period?

Yes, in order for us to ensure we can offer such a unique service with long term support and to make it viable, simialar to many mobile phone contracts, the minimum Contract period is 24 months.  (shorter periods can be arranged at extra costs, please call 0800 970 5109 for details)

Do I receive any money from the Parking Charge Notice?

Yes you will receive £30.00 inc of Vat compensation payment issued at the end of the month, monthly in arrears on all paid PCN’s, this not only makes the whole process self funding but helps cover any costs you or your representative may have issuing PCN’s.

We already have No Parking signs but it has not stopped illegal parking.

As you can see from our signs (click here to see samples) they clearly show our company details therefore people pay more attention to these as nobody wishes to receive a parking ticket; for the few that may ignore them, the PCN takes care of those.

What happens if vehicles don’t pay the PCN?

The details of the registered keeper will be requested from the DVLA and passed over to our retained Collections Company who will pursue collection, Court action may also be taken; you of course as the client can view the full process of the PCN collection on your Client Web.

Can I cancel Parking charge Notice?

Yes you can if you make a mistake or the person issued with one is a valued customer or member of staff etc, this must be carried out within 24 hours of issue otherwise we will be unable to cancel the PCN as we will have started the legal process of collection whereby costs will have been incured, although we have a sliding scale of charges if you wish to cancel a PCN up to 28 days from issue, giving you total control.

How will i know if a PCN has been paid?

As you will have full access to our Client Web you can see what stage a PCN is at, to include Appeals and Payment.
